The President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), Mr. Johnbull Amayaevbo paid courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. 0lorundare Thomas in Abuja today, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and working relationship between the two agencies.
Specifically, the estate surveyors want collaboration in some classes of insurance products made compulsory by law in the country, including the insurance of public buildings, insurance of buildings under construction and professional indemnity insurance cover for members of the professional body.
Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the need for the insurance industry to always ensure use of registered estate surveyors and valuers in the valuation of their assets.
