The Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) has released compilation of selected sample dissertation on insurance related topics, submitted by; Mr. Mustapha, Ismail Kolawole, Mr. Olutusin, and Samusideen Ademola from the Year 2024 Fellowship Award of the Institute.
The Institute President/Chairman of Council, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, during a Council meeting recently approved that two dissertations from the Year 2024 Fellowship Award be published by the Institute.
This development is to encourage quality writing amongst the CIIN Fellowship applicants.
Ilori added that the Institute is committed to promoting excellence, innovation and continuous learning in the Insurance Industry.
The Registrar of the Institute, Mrs. Abimbola Tiamiyu stated that the publication is very apt at the moment, noting that the Institute needs to encourage its members to write standard papers on current trends within the Industry in order to update existing information on such topics.
She said that “the Secretariat is proud to showcase the outstanding works of our fellowship candidates; and that this publication demonstrates the painstaking efforts of the Institute on promoting research and professional development in the Industry”.
Tiamiyu congratulated the qualifying fellows on this new feat, charging all fellows to continuously contribute to research work and not limit their writings to fellowship dissertation, rather take advantage of the annual Institute journal by contributing to knowledge through article publications in the journal. The reliability of the dissertations was subject to plagiarism test before they were considered.
The published dissertations are the first of its kind, making the Volume 1 of this publication, it was disclosed that this will be a continuous effort going forward. The e-book covers “Impact of Climate Change on Property and Casualty Insurance” and “Succession Planning in Building Enduring Institutions in Nigeria” among others.
The CIIN Boss urged its members to ensure they have a copy of the publication at hand, adding that the e-book is available on the Institute website for download.
